Taking Time to Plan for What Comes Next
At the end of February, Ouabache Land Conservancy’s board gathered for a retreat at reTHink's headquarters on 13th Street in Terre Haute. The retreat offered time away from day-to-day responsibilities to reflect, evaluate progress, and sharpen the organization’s focus for the remainder of 2026, and for the years ahead. Conversations centered on strengthening OLC’s conservation impact, building organizational capacity, and ensuring that the work of protecting land across our region continues to grow in thoughtful and sustainable ways.
Board retreats help nonprofit organizations stay mission-driven and forward-thinking. They create space for meaningful discussion, strategic planning, and shared vision. We are especially grateful to our board members, who generously donate not only their financial support but also many hours of volunteer time. Their willingness to invest time in gatherings like this retreat helps create the foundation for OLC’s work for many years to come.
